Conducting an evaluation
An internal evaluation is split into sections so you (the teacher) can move through it in a way that fits the lesson you are observing. This article walks through the sections in the order they normally appear on the evaluation home.
1. Teacher questions
Section titled “1. Teacher questions”Stay on the TEACHER tab. The details card at the top summarises the form, date, evaluator, school and class. Below it is the Teacher Questions progress card.
- If the card is white with a yellow Start button, no questions have been answered yet.
- If it is light yellow with a Finish button, some answers are saved.
- If it is light green with a Review button, the section is complete.
Tap the button to open the questions and fill them in.
2. Pupil assessments
Section titled “2. Pupil assessments”Swipe over to the PUPILS tab. Each pupil card shows the pupil’s name, the date the assessment was created and the progress of every section in that assessment.
- Tap Pupil Questions to answer the questions about that pupil.
- Tap an assessment section (for example Letter Sounds) to score the activity.
- Tap New Assessment at the bottom to add another pupil.
3. Sync between sections
Section titled “3. Sync between sections”Use the Sync menu item from time to time, especially before you swap devices or close the app for a break. This keeps the server in line with your latest answers.
