Country configuration
Administrators see a Configuration button (a gear icon) near the title on every country page. It opens the country setup menu, grouped into columns. If you do not have a high enough role, the gear does not appear and the country pages are read-only.
What is in the menu
Section titled “What is in the menu”The menu groups its links into columns:
| Group | Links |
|---|---|
| Projects and Officials | Projects, Country Officials |
| Other | Monitoring Forms, Funding Sources, Impact Configuration, Metrics Configuration, Term Configuration |
| Deduplication System | Country Deduplication System, Algorithm Similarity Test (an internal QA tool, not covered in this guide) |
Several of these open pages that are covered elsewhere in this guide:
- Monitoring Forms opens the form setup for the country. See Monitoring forms.
- Metrics Configuration is where you add and edit the country’s metrics. See Creating a metric.
- Country Deduplication System opens the country’s deduplication summary. See Deduplication overview.
Managing Country Officials
Section titled “Managing Country Officials”Open Country Officials to manage the people who oversee the country.
- To add one, fill in the new official form. It asks for a Name and a Pin.
- To change one, open the official and edit it. The edit form has Name, Pin and Email.
Term Configuration
Section titled “Term Configuration”Open Term Configuration to set the country’s terms. The page shows a table of the existing terms with their Term/Period name, Start Date and End Date, and each row has an Edit Term option and a delete action.
To add a term, use the New Term button and set its Start Date and End Date. Terms drive the period selectors across the country dashboard, so keeping them accurate keeps the term-based reporting correct.
