The Impact tab

The Impact tab reports on learning outcomes for the project: how pupils are doing against your targets, and how teacher performance compares. It is part of the full navigation only, so managers and country officials see it. Project staff and region officials do not.

The project Impact tab with the Pupils Key Results tables, the year selectors and the target colour coding

The Key Results section shows pupil results grouped into score brackets, one table per result definition. Each table has its own year selector, so you choose the monitoring year per table and that table reloads for it.

To see how each district is doing, use the See Results for Each … link. It opens a page with one sortable table per Key Results table. The first column is the district, followed by a column for each year group showing the percentage reaching the target. The cells are colour-coded, green, yellow or red, against your targets, with deeper colour where there is more data behind the figure. Click a district name to open its page.

Below Key Results, the Results Over Time charts compare score percentages across periods, one chart per Key Results table, so you can see whether outcomes are improving.

The Teacher Performance section shows performance by metric and by year group, against high and middle target percentages. As with Key Results, a See Results for Each … link opens the per-district teacher results, a sortable table with one column per metric and colour-coded cells. On that page you can adjust the year and the year groups.

The targets and the Key Results tables come from the project’s impact configuration. To edit them, open the Configuration gear and choose Impact Configuration.

The editor lets you build and adjust each Key Results table:

  • An Assessment Title for the table and the Assessment Section Definitions it draws from, where you can select as many sections as you need.
  • Scoring Brackets that define the score ranges.
  • A year-group selection with target inputs (for example EARLY_YEARS, PRIMARY_ONE, PRIMARY_TWO, PRIMARY_THREE).
  • Percentage reaching targets, with a high (green) and a middle (yellow) input.
  • Remove Section, which asks you to confirm with “Are you sure you want to delete this section?” before removing a table.

Other buttons let you Add Table, Undo Changes and go Back. Add Table adds a new table straight away, while Undo Changes and Back prompt you to confirm before you lose unsaved work.

There are two ways to save:

  • Save Only For This Project saves the configuration for the current project alone.
  • Save Changes For All Projects is available to administrators only. It overwrites the impact configuration of every project in the country, so use it with care.
