School visits and teacher visits

A school visit is a single monitoring trip to a school. Within it, each teacher seen during the visit has a teacher visit, and within that sit the pupil assessments.

Reach a school visit from the School Visits table on the School page or from the district Monitoring Activity tab. The school’s name is shown at the top.

The School Visit page with its Details card, the Teacher visits table and the school and head answers

The details panel down the left lists:

  • School (a link)
  • Visit date
  • Monitor (a link)
  • Complete (Yes or No)
  • Entered at school (Yes or No)

The school and head answers recorded during the visit appear alongside these.

A Teacher visits table lists the teachers seen, with a link to each teacher visit and a Pupil assessments count. An Edit answers button next to the answers opens a dialog where you correct the recorded answers.

  • Edit: change the visit’s date and monitor.
  • Merge: combine this visit with a duplicate from the same school.
  • Delete: removes the visit after a confirmation.
  • Legacy UI: opens the older version of the school visit page.

Open a teacher visit from the Teacher visits table. The teacher’s name is shown at the top.

The details panel lists the Teacher, the School visit date, the School and the Class (or “Not assigned”), along with the lesson observation answers. A Pupil assessments table lists the pupils assessed during the visit. The teacher answers appear where they have been recorded, and an Edit answers button next to them opens a dialog where you correct the recorded answers.

  • Edit: change the teacher recorded against the visit.
  • Merge: combine this teacher visit with another.
  • Delete: removes the teacher visit after a confirmation.

The Classroom Visit Answers view organises the recorded answers into tabs, shown when there is data for each:

  • Pupil Assessments
  • Teacher Questions
  • Classroom Observation
