The Monitoring data tab

The Monitoring data tab is the tool for exploring the monitoring forms your monitors have submitted. It is part of the full navigation only. This page gives an overview of how the tab is laid out. For the step-by-step how-to, follow the links at the end.

The Monitoring data tab with the Explore data and Open a report tabs on the left and the data grid on the right, with a map below it

The page is split into two panes. The left pane has two tabs, Explore data and Open a report. The right pane shows the data grid for whatever you have selected, with a map below it.

On the Explore data tab you build a view of the data:

  • Choose a form. A form dropdown lists the project’s monitoring forms. Where the project uses internal evaluations, those are listed separately.
  • Choose the dates. A dates dropdown sets the period, with an option to enter your own start and end dates.

A counts panel then summarises what is in your selection:

  • Monitors
  • School visits
  • Teacher visits
  • Pupil assessments

Several of these counts are clickable and open a list of the underlying records.

Once you have a view you want to keep, use Save as report to store it as a named report. You can then reopen it later from the Open a report tab, which lists your saved reports under Select a report.

Export to Excel downloads the current view as a spreadsheet, with separate tabs for school and head data, teacher data and pupil data.

This tab shares the same Data Explorer used elsewhere in the dashboard. For the full instructions, see:
